The short answer

Indian passport holders can visit Thailand for tourism without a visa for up to 30 days. This applies to arrivals on or after 15 September 2026, when Thailand reduced the visa-free stay from 60 days to 30. If you entered before that date, the stay you were given still applies.

Rules for Indian travellers change often. We checked everything on this page against the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi on 5 October 2026, and we confirm the current position again before every booking.

Staying longer than 30 days

For a longer trip, apply for a tourist e-visa before you travel through Thailand's official e-visa portal (thaievisa.go.th). The embassy in New Delhi has accepted applications only through this portal since January 2025.

The embassy lists the single-entry tourist visa at ₹3,000 and the multiple-entry tourist visa at ₹13,500. Apply well ahead of your dates; the embassy does not publish a fixed processing time.

The arrival card (TDAC)

Every foreign visitor, including children, must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online before landing. It is free and can be filled in from three days before arrival. Use only the official immigration website (tdac.immigration.go.th); ignore sites that charge a fee for it.

What to carry

A passport valid for at least six months, your return or onward ticket, hotel confirmations and enough funds for the trip. Immigration officers may ask to see these at arrival. We give every traveller a printed and digital set.

How we help

For Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi or Chiang Mai, we check whether your dates fit within 30 days, file e-visas when needed, and remind each traveller to complete the TDAC three days before the flight.
