The short answer
Most Indian passport holders need a UAE tourist visa arranged before travel. We apply for it as part of every Dubai booking, usually alongside the flights and hotel.
Visa on arrival: who qualifies
Indians with an ordinary passport valid for at least six months can get a visa on arrival if they also hold a valid US visit visa or green card, or a UK or EU residence visa, valid for at least six months from arrival. This is what the UAE government's official portal (u.ae) lists today; the standard stay is 14 days.
Reports since February 2025 say eligibility was widened to valid visas or residence permits from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada as well, with fees paid at immigration. Some 2026 news also claims travellers holding only UK documents no longer qualify, but the official portal has not changed. Until it does, if your only qualifying document is from the UK, we recommend arranging a visa in advance.
What to carry
Passport valid for six months, return ticket, hotel confirmation and, for visa on arrival, the physical US, UK or EU document itself. Airlines check these at check-in in India, so a missing document can stop you boarding.
How we help
We check which route is right for each traveller in the group, apply for advance visas where needed, and plan family trips, celebrations and corporate offsites around them. Rules change at short notice, so we confirm the current position before every booking.
